6.7.16 BALTIMORE, MD--The Liquefied Natural Gas tanks at the BGE Spring Gardens facility at the I-95-395 interchange are being painted with iconic Baltimore themed designs in honor of the company's 200th Anniversary. BGE was founded in 1816 as The Gas Light Company of Baltimore and is the oldest Gas utility company in North America. The murals are being painted by G. C. 11-25-14 BALTIMORE, MD- A group of students at the University of Baltimore Law School gathered on the campus sidewalk and laid down for the 4 minutes following 11:51 am on Tuesday November 25th, and had their bodies outlined in chalk. 10.30.12- BALTIMORE, MD- A large Oak tree fell on the home and lifted the car of owner Andy Smith on Hillen Road near Towson. The Tree fell during high winds around 6:30 pm on October 29th, 2012 around the time Hurricane Sandy made landfall. The Family was in the home but no one was injured. 08.21.12- ELLICOT CITY, MD- Photos of the CSX train derailment that happened on the train bridge that crosses Frederick Road in Historic Ellicot City. The coal freight train derailed in the early hours of August 21st, killing two 19 year old girls, Elizabeth Nass and Rose L. Mayr. (Maximilian Franz/The Daily Record).
08.15.12- BALTIMORE, MD- Lewis Dixon, a 14 year old North Baltimore resident, looks at the windshield of his mother car that was destroyed by his basketball hoop during sever thunder stroms the night before. 08.13.12- BALTIMORE, MD- Photos from the Press flight of the WWII Boeing B-17 bomber that has been restored as a replica of the "Memphis Belle" and is being operated by the volunteer orgainization, The Liberty Foundation. The plane will be flying out of Martin State Airport on August 18th and 19th offering passengers a unique 30 minute flight on a historic bomber for the price of $450 a person. Once numbering in the thousands, these Boeing planes were used from WWII until the Vietnam war, now less than 15 are deemed air-worthy. (Maximilian Franz/The Daily Record).
